Privacy Policy
On this page
This privacy policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit rb.r3v.dev ("this website") or contact RB-Development, how that data is used, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable laws.
1. Data controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described below is:
- RB-Development (sole proprietor)
- Contact: rb@r3v.dev
For any question regarding your personal data, please use the email address above.
2. What data is collected
2.1 Data you provide via the contact form
When you submit the contact form on this website, the following information is collected and processed:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company (optional)
- The topic you selected
- The content of your message
- The date and time of submission
This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if we agree to work together, to carry out the resulting project.
2.2 Data collected automatically
When you load a page, the hosting server automatically records technical information in server log files:
- Your IP address (shortened or anonymized after short-term storage)
- Date and time of the request
- The page requested and HTTP response code
- Referring URL (if sent by your browser)
- Browser type, version and operating system
These logs are used for operating the site securely — detecting abuse, investigating outages, and preventing fraudulent requests. They are not combined with other data to build a profile of you.
2.3 Fonts
This website loads the typefaces Inter and JetBrains Mono from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, your IP address is transmitted to Google. No cookies are set for font loading.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR — processing necessary to respond to your inquiry and to perform a contract, or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (the contact form).
- Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a secure, functional website (server logs, technical font delivery).
- Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR — your consent, where it applies (e.g. the consent checkbox on the contact form).
4. How long data is kept
- Contact form submissions: kept for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry, plus up to 24 months afterwards for follow-up and project continuity. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
- Project data (if we enter into an engagement) is kept for the duration of the project plus the legally required retention period for business correspondence and invoices (typically up to 10 years under applicable tax law).
- Server logs: kept for up to 14 days, then deleted or fully anonymized.
5. Sharing & processors
Your personal data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It is only transmitted to the following categories of processors, each acting on documented instructions:
- Hosting provider — the server infrastructure that delivers this website and runs the contact form backend (within the EU/EEA).
- Email provider — the SMTP service used to deliver contact-form messages and to correspond with you.
- Google Fonts — delivery of the webfonts used on this site.
Where a processor is located outside the EU/EEA, transfers are made on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses or another appropriate GDPR-compliant safeguard.
6. Cookies & analytics
This website does not set marketing or analytics cookies. No tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or third-party advertising networks are used. Only strictly necessary technical data is processed as described in the sections above.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — ask whether we process data about you and receive a copy (Art. 15).
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16).
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (Art. 17), subject to legal retention requirements.
- Restriction — restrict processing in specific cases (Art. 18).
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20).
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
- Withdraw consent — at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).
- Lodge a complaint — with the data protection authority of your EU member state.
To exercise any of these rights, email rb@r3v.dev. No formal request is required — a short email is enough.
8. Security
This website is served exclusively over HTTPS. Form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to the backend and to any stored inquiries is restricted, logged, and protected with strong authentication. Systems are kept up to date and reviewed regularly.
Given that software security is part of what RB-Development offers as a service, protecting your data is treated with corresponding care.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the services offered, applicable law, or the way data is processed. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
10. Contact
Questions about this privacy policy, or requests related to your personal data, can be sent to rb@r3v.dev.
